MOLCAJETE SAN PEDRO
Descripción
DESCRIPTION
Present in our culture since pre-Hispanic times, the molcajete is one of the oldest Mexican utilitarian objects.
Our molcajete is a variation of the traditional design, complemented by a wooden base that works as a tortilla container; two elements made to show off on the table.
Molcajete San Pedro: name that honors the community of 'San Pedro de los Metates', one of the few comunities that still preserves the traditional technique in the elaboration of its molcajetes.
A black molcajete with a charred wooden plate. The color of extinct fire, of coal. A deep color, a color of reflection; the color of emptiness that gives rise to new beginnings.
